IGN gave it over 9 and Eurogamer gave it a 9. For all critics, let me avoid using the word "xbot," what more do you need for "real" reviews? The Gamespot thread was full of this.

So let me state this. Reviewers were ready to give this game a bad score. I mean this game was the center of Sony's arrogance back in 2005/2006. The game reviewing scene is pretty much centered about Halo being the De Facto standard for FPS, let alone gaming all together. Every game is compared to Halo now days with the Western reviewers. Reviewers were ready to give this game a 5-7 out of 10 just because of the hype.

So, this is an awesome game. This will be one of the two or three FPS I buy this coming year, since I'm not a huge fan of the genre. For all I can say, this will live up to the hype. Especially after playing it this year at TGS.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
