Causation?

I look at this and immediately think: "Maybe the increased hormones that cause men to want sex more are also the cause of the prostate cancer. Or maybe men who want lot's of sex can't have enough or masturbate enough and that causes the cancer. Or maybe the cause of the cancer and the sex are both caused by a third thing, like diet. The numbers just aren't impressive enough to warrant a change in life behavior; especially since sexual activity is found to have health benefits in every other study I've ever seen."

Also, since the older men who are active see the increase, I think this supports the idea that healthy living as you get older makes you better off in many different ways.


My main point is that we don't know if the sex is a cause or the effect.
