to prevent RROD, dont buy intercoolers, plug the ac adapter straight into the wall outlet, dont plug it into a multi-plug adapter, dont put the 360 in a closed area or on the rug, and dont put the AC adapter in a closed area or on the rug, I found out that the AC adapter needs as much ventilation as the console, follow that and you shouldnt get RROD.
and obviously if you do get RROD, microsoft fixes it for free, just incase you didnt know.
