I remember when a square game was practically flawless in it's execution. It was one of the few companies out there that BEGGED you to find a technical flaw, seamless through and through. Level 5 is pretty good. Dark Cloud and Rouge Galaxy are badass :D. Atlas is make or break, generally on the break side for me though. Some of they're games are just too weird and play just a bit too generic for my taste. And I really don't like generic all that much in my JRPG's. I can repeat sci-fi generic all the time for my shooters... but man... rpg's it's a killer. Which is why I just don't like Enix... all there stuff feels so cliche ;/ Dragon Quest to me is the most generic series eeeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeerrrrrrr. |
When it comes to publishing, Atlus are definitely hit or miss but when they actually develop games, there is a pretty good chance of a good game coming from them.
