I don't want any company to fail but I for one am well and trully absolutely completely happy that PS3 has "failed". Want to know why? Imagine if a $599 PS3 had sold as well as the PS2. What would that do for gaming? It would mean super expensive consoles from now onwards. If the next Nintendo console was $599 I would still buy it day one but surely it can't be a good thing for consoles to be so ridiculously priced.
Now Sony have learnt their lesson and other companies have also learnt their lesson from the lesson Sony has learnt. So next gen we can look forward to affordable consoles.
