Box B got them millions

Other one is wrong because:

"That means that each person put in only $9, which is a total of $27 ($9 from each of the three). But Milly had skimmed off $2, so that gives a total of $29."

Wrong. $9, is assumed to be the value each person gave, if adding these numbers we have:

9+9+9 = 27

It's wrong to add the money Milly (who in my head was a woman :P, i shat bricks when you said "he") to the sum of that, that would give 29. You should add the total she gave to Chip, that would be:

10+10+10=30

Or you could see how much each one spent and add it:

10-1 = 9, 10-1 = 9, 10-3 = 7

9+9+7=25

The guys got two and milly got three = 5

25+5 = 30

Well, that's the best way i can explain it... Chip must have fallen asleep by now :P
