Sony had a controller that used analog stick inputs before the N64 hit the market, so fail on your part.  Sonys controller was a re-design of its other controller with analog sticks, unlike the N64 controler which is the biggest screw up in modern controller history.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how this resembles the DualAnalog in any form.  And any way an analog joystick is quite different from analog thumbsticks.  Besides, Final-Fan did the best job of illustrating where Sony got their idea for the original Playstation controller.  Of course it would be expected though given the project they had been working on (SNES CD).

I would like to know how the N64's controller was such a screw up though.  Obviously the three prongs can't all be held at once, but I can't recall a single game of the 5th gen that required acess to the D-pad, thumbstick, face buttons, 2 shoulder pads, and the Z-trigger all at once.
