I commend this thread, but it lost all credibility as soon as I saw the word metacritic. You also fail to address the effects of a years head start in any way.

If Metacritic isn't credible, what is? There's only so many ways you can make an argument for a system having 'good' games, and Metacritic/GameRankings is one of the few ways it works.

You used titles like Halo 3 and GOW2 which everybody knows are heading for PC. Without those titles, the 360 is actually behind in the number of AAA games. Now you can leave them on the list and even call them exclusive until things change, but then your only lying to yourself in a thread that is supposed to argue for "real exclusives".

I could make the same argument against some of the PS3 games that could head to the 360. Of course, I'd be labeled a fanboy if I said 'MGS4 360', but your doing the same thing with Halo 3, aren't you? It's been out for 16 months and no PC port. Something tells me your grasping at straws.

There are also several games on the 360 list that are arguebly ONLY there because of the years head start: Saints Row, MotoGP06, Tetris, Namco Museum and Dead Rising.

So it's Microsoft's fault that publishers never ported their games to the PS3? Amazing. Maybe we should blame the the global recession on weather conditions on Fiji.

Quite possibly the biggest problem I have with your numbers, however, is the final result. 360 finishes at 50 while PS3 finishes at 30. Nowhere do you mention that only 3 of these exclusives are rated higher than 80 (even by Metacritic's cracked out standards). On your list, 28 of the 360's 29 exclusive lead are rated lower than 70%. 21 of these titles are not even at 60%.

Did you notice he broke the scores down by 10% points each? It's not like he lumped everything together. How does he lose credibility if he did his best to provide a balanced look, but not a pro-Sony argument? All you need to do is look at the list to see there are 3 games the 360 has over the PS3 that are above 80%. I'm sorry he didn't bend over backwards to appease Sony fans.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
