Except that this appears to have happened in Canada, not America.
I must say though, this is pretty surprising. Being brown myself, and from Canada, I've never experienced anything even remotely like this. The officers should be given some pretty hefty punishments for this. Had a regular civilian commited this act of atrocity, I think it'd be a miracle if they were simply "suspended with pay". That is pretty ridiculous.
