Halo - what's so great about it?

Guess I'll have to try the games on online multiplayer one day.

Still for me, everything Halo brought Gears did better (except vehicles). But that's just my opinion.

Halo and Gears aren't remotely similar, and are part of different genres, so I don't see where that comment is coming from. Let's also not forget Gears 2 has horribly broken online mode and Gears 1's (I don't think 2 has melee stun) broken melee system.
