A better scenerio is Nintendo and MS working together to make the Playstation brand athe lowest its ever been and funny thing is, thats happening right now.

Noth Nintendo and MS have been burned by Sony, and now they are working together, both making market share increases and profit, at the expense of Sonys dwindling market share and constantly posting a loss with PS3.

Wii60 is a reality, not just a fanboy word.

Dude, ninty is not working with M$. M$ was the same company that paid to keep 3rd parties off the GC last gen just to come 2nd. All companies are competing...this is reality.

Also, ninty and M$ did not "steal" the marketshare from sony that you're imagining. With every new generation, the counter resets.

lastly, PS will be around...get used to it.

 

on the contrary, officially they are in competition but acually they are complementing eachother to make sure PS3 market share is at its lowest.

The Wii tackles the casual market.........the main buyers of the PS2s 140+ user base.

The Wii gets a monopoly in Japan, thus limiting PS3s market share there, leaving room for 360 NA and European presences to overcompensate.

Wii tackes the casual market that made PS2 a success and 360 tackles the hardcore with the stolen PS2 exclusives and a year head start to establish themselves.

And no, the counter does not "reset". Nintendo increased their market share from gamecube, as did MS. Sony however, took the most giant step backwards market share wise in the history of the gaming industry. Sony will be around, but they wont be #1.
