It would be easy if you could include the positive externalities of healthier citizens... hmm....
I suppose you could mention how fragmented and inefficient our health care system is. I doubt the Gov could do a better job though.
Oh! I remembered one reason:
essentially right now, each individual person has to bargain with their insurance company for good rates. If the Gov did it for everyone, they would have ALOT of sway and would almost certainly be able to get a better rate for prescription drugs, lowering their price and increasing their availability.
