I just don't get why if person A&B hype Killzone 2 then person C&D feel the need to complain about it. What's the big deal, if the game sells well, GREAT! That means look for, possibly, more sequels. If it sucks, oh well, the only people TRULY affected in a substantial way is Sony. Therefore, what's the big deal if it's hyped into Oblivion?

Absolutely nothing. What's the big deal about it being trashed into oblivion? Absolutely nothing. What's the point of this thread? Absolutely nothing.

Well I won't argue which ya there, Killzone 2 DOES NOT need this many threads, infact, NO game does!

I agree. Let me elaborate a little further and give some insight on why I think the hyping does get annoying. Hyping these games usually has very little to do with the game itself and much more to do with the agenda of having a pissing contest with rival console owners. "Hey look at this amazing game I can buy that you can't!". Each side does it to the other and then bitches when it's happening to them. If you don't want to agree then answer me this. Show me the last 360/PS3 multiplatform game that got anywhere near the attention that all the exclusives got last year. The only one I can think of is GTA IV and if I recall, most of the topics consisted of "My version has better framerate/draw distance/miniscule difference than your version does! HA!". Look at Final Fantasy XIII. Show me a thread that doesn't just result in a pissing contest between gloating 360 fans for having it, and resentful and defensive PS3 fans claiming their version is better, still exclusive in Japan and Microsoft causing a delay.

Maybe the game is fantastic. Maybe it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Maybe it's utter crap. Maybe it's just another shooter. Maybe it's one of the best shooters. The problem is your crowd, along with the 360 crowd are the boys who cried wolf. You hype almost everything exclusive so no one wants to believe you anymore. Why should they too. No matter how Killzone 2 turns out, you're all just going to move onto Infamous next, the same as how the Star Ocean crowd is going to move onto Halo Wars following it's release. Somehow, those two little nothing games from Capcom go unnoticed in the swamp of overhyped exclusives.

At the end of the day though, for all the hyping I see of exclusives, I see way too many of you 360 and PS3 fans playing the very games you aren't talking about.
