Guys, come on.

Killzone 2 will be not only subpar, but downright terrible, if you don't get the chance to play it!  It will be awful to sit there, staring at your 360, wishing Killzone 2 would magically appear.

Give those poor guys a break -- let them whimper, if that's what they need to feel better.

more OT: Killzone 2 doesn't need to beat out CoD4 to be great -- you don't have to dethrone the King to be regal, when it comes to gaming.  I'd be a tad upset if I prefer Halo 3 over it, but if its even that good, that's okay too.  Those games (CoD4 at least) were stellar.  KZ2 doesn't have to make them look shoddy to be great -- it just has to compare favorably.

There is likely a DEEP longing  by some on the Sony side that the Playstation brand owns FPS the way Gran Turismo owns racing games.  They can't stand Halo and Gears having the bulk of the spotlight, and Call of Duty doesn't do it either, because it is multiplatform.  They seriously want to have the FPS niche be dominated by the Sony brand, as every genre is supposed to be, so that people will return to Sony and they feel their ownership is justified.  Similar goes on with Gran Turismo in the Microsoft camp.  Forza is hyped up and made to be superior, because the Microsoft camp doesn't like Gran Turismo is an exclusive.  Similarly, the likes of Final Fantasy and Tekken going muticonsole hurts the camp.  MGS ending on the 360 would hurt, as would Mass Effect.

Apparently Bioshock going multiconsole isn't as big of a deal, because it didn't do go numbers on the PS3 saleswise.
