Here it's well worth remembering that AAA games aren't necessarily the most enjoyable. Over the years, how many games have made you say: "objectively speaking it's not that good, but I love it!"? How many came totally under the radar, but ended up blowing you away? How many of your favorites have literally been put together by three guys in a garage? Most people tend to equate AAA with extremely high budgets and hype, but very few of my favorite games for any platform have ever appeared on most wanted lists of big gaming sites.
Damn, I'm getting excited about my Wii all over again. Better go play some PC games for now, and wait for this stuff to actually happen. Then again, I'll be spending Oct 2009/Aug 2010 away from my consoles in Japan, so I'm going to be overwhelmed by the amount of stuff to play no matter what happens. =P
