Well, being from Chicago, I can say that the majority of the writers at the Tribune Co. are morons.

Well, being from the US, I must be qualified to say that everyone in the country is a genius.

Yep.  No logical fallacies there.

Well being that I actually get their newspaper, and read it everyday, i think I know what goes in there on a regular basis.   Whereas you have talked to how many of the 400 million people in the US to be able to come up with that conclusion?

I talk to roughly 20 of them daily.  I bet that's more than the number of newspapers you read daily.

In the end, it just seemed pretty ignorant of you to call a lot of people you've likely never even met morons.

Take a look at this article for instance.  All it really consists of is a basic overview of GTAIV, some sales figures, a bit of information on the company that created the game, and a sensationalist title.  In fact, there's very little in the article even related to the headline at all.  It's a pretty normal article all things considered but with the headline, it has managed to suck in a variety of readers and get copy/pasted on several websites.

Whether or not you like the title or even the article contents, the author has successfully managed to get hundreds of people who don't even normally read the Tribune to read his article.  I can think of many adjectives for it, but moronic is not one of them.

I said the writers that work for the newspaper, not the newspaper itself.  And there are probably 20 writers for the Tribune Co.

As for the rest of it,  while they dont talk directly about the ridiculous title of the article.  They do hint at why the article was named that way,  talking about all of the lines of dialogue, about how the music talks directly to the player and not the avatar.  About all of the things that actually mimic real life in a video game.
