Yep, what you said is far more reasonable, but the point of the thread starter is another and their answers are right inside the present discussion.

 

Actually, he said in the OP that the PS2 was owned alongside the other consoles last-gen, so it should have been pretty clear that he meant dual ownership.

OT:  Once enough 3rd parties begin to take the Wii seriously (combined with the large potential usage for Wiimotion+), in addition to Sega, HVS, and partly Capcom, I can't see how at least some would stay away.
