Its sad to hear that Sega currently has no plan to port this for western audience. I'd kill for just a subtitle only western release.
On that noted, these advertising probably didn't cost Sega nearly as much as you'd think. The main attraction is probably the blatant advertising they are receiving in game thanks to brand recognition. It benefits both all parties and they would obviously want to make a point of highlighting affiliation.
