Sega of Japan has just announced a massive marketing campaign to promote it's upcoming title, Yakuza 3.  Sega will be collaborating with several different commercial enterprises to get the word out on Yakuza 3.   Of course, all this includes the recent promotions with the Japanese Don Quijote retail shops.

First, they announced a tie up with Japanese fasihon magazine Koakuma Ageha to produce a limited print of Yakuza T-Shirts.

They also announced they will be re-partnering with the Japanese resturant chain Matsuya.  Matsuya will be featured in the Yakuza game, and in return, Matsuya will be holding a drawing to give away Yakuza-printed dinner bowls.  The resturant will also be giving away codes to download an exclusive Yakuza background.

The Tokyo-based chain of karaoke rooms, B&V Karaoke-Kan, is also featured via a singing mini-game in the game.  Karaoke-Kan will be selling Yakuza-themed food and drinks, and will also be airing a special Yakuza 3 commercial.  Exclusive wallpaper downloads will also be available from the karaoke chain.

Finally, Okinawa Health Food Develop Cooperative will also be offering Yakuza-style health drinks.  In the game, OHDC drinks can be consumed to regain health.

Now if Sony only took lessons from Sega.  Imagine being able to purchase the Arc lightning gun from retail gun stores nationwide?  On second thought...

Yakuza 3 is an open world, Grand Theft Auto-style action game, developed by Sega.  It's due out in Japan on February 27, though no Western release is planned.
