Not really. If all they cared about was their rank staying high would be the best way to go. I always thought those that cared about rank would care more about being higher then a k/d ratio. Most people consider higher rank more important then a k/d ratio because they know you could have a high k/d ratio just from killing noobs over and over.
It's just that simple.
