Nothing can really stand against WoW except for maybe ever EverQuest right now which I believe still holds a few million subscribers between EQ1 and EQ2. Course it had a good 5+ million people at one point till WoW killed everything.
At this point every company has to consider that if they go into the MMORPG market they stand very little chance in succeeding. Nothing is going to dethrone WoW at this point. KOTOR3/MMORPG won't last more then a few years, trust me.
It's just that simple.
