The PC is a platform, thus PC360 games are multiplatform.
However, the ongoing "console war" here is actually between the PS3 and the 360, thus PC360 exclusives in that battle are just as good as exclusives.
When you hear guys like shio tell you that "PC gaming is the most popular platform by triple" well sure it is. However, most people are playing Spider Solitare on it, and buying Microsoft Office as their software bundles.
I have to agree on this. Shio's 250 million pc gamers are online poker players, solitaire players, and Bejeweled players.
It's absolutely ignorant to believe that single player HD gaming is nearly as prevelant amongst PC owners as it is amongst console owners. Not just percentage wise, but number wise. Besides the overwhelming piracy issue, the sheer barrier to entry for PC HD gaming is a major roadblock to anyone but the non-technophile. If you don't have 2 year experience building computers, you probably aren't HD gaming on one. You might be playing World of Goo, but you're not playing GTAIV.
You would need 2 years experience if you were completely retarded and couldn't read anything.
So yes, single player HD gaming is generally related to consoles, for the mass market. These games couldn't exist if it weren't for consoles. Games like Assassin's Creed or GTAIV. However, they could easily exist without the PC. That's something shio can't argue against.
So yes, in the CONSOLE war, the only one left to decide, the one between the PS3 and the 360, PC360 multiplats matter very much, and indeed have kept the 360 at or above the PS3 in last years releases, and competitive in this years releases. The architecture is so similar, that the platforms are nearly interchangable, at a mainstream technology level.
That's the long and the short of it. Sorry it took so long for someone to answer your question correctly.
All hail the douche baggery of Zenfolder.
