| Onyxmeth said: I get what he's saying. He's talking about the defining title, and that hasn't been released for PS3 yet. Whether that has any significance I won't get into, but it's obvious Sony hasn't gotten it yet. There are still two multiplatform titles sitting atop the PS3 charts that can be acquired on other consoles. The 360 is defined by Halo and the sales and public reception reflect that. The same can be said of the Wii and Wii Sports. The PS3 right now is reflected by a lot of titles getting good sales but no standout title, and COD4 and GTAIV sitting on top shows what the consumers on PS3 are interested in. Basically at the moment, the PS3 is the equivalent of a 360 without Halo 3. In a nutshell, PS3 needs Gran Turismo 5. It's always been the defining title on the playstation brand. |
You kinda contradict yourself here and your latter bolded statement is totaly incorrect , the XBOX 360 - Halo 3 doesn't = PS3 that would be like saying the XBOX 360 has everything the PS3 does + Halo 3 on top ...not true . The PS3's incentive is devided upon a range of games of good quality and apeal , exclusive titles which you won't find on any console.
It's not like the average gamer will be playing one or two titles for the life of their $200-$400 purchase . I don't know why such an emphasis is being put on particular titles it's the libary that sells the console indefinetley , individual titles for the most part only give short term boosts.
