Katamari is not a platformer.
Acme Arnsenal is also coming out for the PS2 which tells me several things: the Wii version will probably look the same, the 360 version won't look much better if at all, and the PS3 will upscale on the PS3.
But anyway, for me it comes down to whether I like Ratchet and Clank or Mario Galaxy better. I'm not one of those that automatically assumes a Mario game will be an awesome platformer because I never liked Mario 64 due to the controller and the 3-D nature of the game. I do plan to replay it on the Wii most likely. Sunshine was even worse.
If New Super Mario Bros. 2 was coming out on the DS, I'd say the DS. 2-D mario, like 2-D sonic, might always be my favorites.
