I was watching Bill O'reilly for fun and learned that "11% of all released gitmo detainees become terrorists again" The last part should be ammended from again to "if they were before." Because theres many confirmed terrorists (terrorists ties), suspects etc. Anyways, i thought 11% was pretty low.
Besides this guy was released when Bush was in power, like in 2007. Obama stated that he wasn't going to release everyone, just ones that are unlikely to join terrorists cells. Others of whom there is no evidence to convict of anything, but are still considered dangerous will probably be held indefinitely elsewhere.
In fact. This act is more 'symbolic' than anything. This shit has been going on forever, and will continue to do so. It's just recently, or so Imagine, that the government has convinced a lot of people that all these steps are necessary to protect the mother country.
Power never rescinds itself willingly.
