Outsource and save money (<~~ it's brilliant), and buy exclusives where necessary. I don't see how Sony is going to keep all their first parties with the big loss they just forecasted. Doesn't make sense to have all those people sitting on a payroll when they only pump out a game once every 1½ years.
Xbox is easy to develop for so it's not like MS needs a 1st party studio to fully utilize 360's capibilities. Sony on the other hand...
