So I can see why small, not very popular bands complain, but when bands like Metallica bitch about people listening to their music for free, it gets ridiculous. Every single one of the members are millionaires many times over and if they never recieved another royalty checks in their life, they and their families can live comfortably for a few generations to come.
Tell me, also, defenders of the "artist", is it illegal to listen to a friend's CD? Is it illegal to go over to a friends house and put their music they paid for on your iPod? I honestly don't know the answer to this, but even if it is, it's ridiculous.
Sony a while back tried to pwn music lovers everywhere by forcing the DRM stuff on people, and luckily that came back to hit them in the face. "Leasing the rights to play the music" is what Sony said they were doing. F-ing ridiculous.
