For most games you can easily try and classify them as a RPG puzzle action adventure platform game because there's a deep story with customizable guns and armor that has them solving environmental puzzles by jumping from building ledge to building ledge while dual wielding UV ray shooting guns to kill enemy vampires in real time but most games usually just have one central genre with a few different sub genres to appeal to as many people as possible.

I don't know a lot about Folklore, but take Puzzle Quest as an example. Puzzle Quest does have RPG elements and that is one of its big gimmicks, but it is first and foremost a Puzzle Game. It is not a Puzzle RPG game, it's just a puzzle game (main genre) with RPG elements (sub genre).
