Give me a break. You're talking about how Americas felt the media reported the Iraq war, not the HD console war. The US media doesn't give a shit about the videogame industry outside of the money it generates. There is no white house of gaming saying "hey, write articles bashing the PS3 and we might help you out". The media reporting negatively on the PS3 and Sony are the media reporting facts. A console isn't supposed to see YOY declines during the holiday at this stage in its life. And if they are, said company should be doing something to rectify it, instead of being outsold 2 to 1 by it's main competitor and 3 to 1 by the market leader. And if they can't, and that company is about post a $1.7 billion loss with one of their flagship products failing to catch on, that's legitimate (and bad) news to report. |
don't you think you are overreacting now? Who said anything about White House trying to bash PS3. Yes Sony lost money lately, but Microsoft lost 6 billion on Xbox family and 1 billion on RROD and MIcrosoft is letting 6000 employees go, but you didn't see that on Internet media lately, did you? And PS3 sold more in january 2009 than 360 in january 2008. And don't forget 360 is getting massacred in Japan, it can't even sell 1 million and its been out for 3 years ( in japan )
