^ there's nothing wrong with consulting your better half when spending money. there might be something wrong if she doesn't let you do anything you want to do (within reason... such as her stopping you from buying a ferrari when you can't afford one). i somehow convinced my wife to buy me all three systems!
anyway, i think it's wise you're keeping the ps3.
