It is a plant that contains Tetrahydrocannabinols. This chemical, produced mostly by a female plant in order to catch pollen from the male Marijuana plant has an effect on people when it is smoked or ingested. It is a plant, but like many medications, is considered a drug. It produces feelings of euphoria, paranoia, and overall well being. At the same time, it impairs judgment. It is considered a gateway drug, because often times smokers will move on to cocaine, ecstasy, methamphetamine, or other unlawful substances, in an attempt to find a better "high". If you smoke marijuana, make sure you buy the good shit. It's worth it.
