the game really NEEDS Steam? now that's something really funny, NEEDING both Steam and GFW:L
you can get early beta access from Eurogamer too (they have some keys), and I guess other websites have it too. I think I'l buy Soulstorm (it's 7.50), and I don't even know if I'll get the beta, but Soulstorm seems cool and it's cheap too :P I just will not pre-order it because I have some priorities :P
