Well its not always like that in EU otherwise the X360 would have outsold the PS3 in every country for every month in EU but it didnt(since PS3 launch March23rd07).EU try to buy things with Sony written on them as over here they are very reliable compared to Philips,Tecknica,Toshiba,Bush etc.Pricing isnt a major factor during holiday times due to bonuses and savings through out the year.I honestly dont know where and how the Sony brand loyalty came around in EU it just sought of happened when the PS1 released it was the present of choice for children across the continent and Sony got a good name from it and also Microsoft is seen as a bad unreliable company because of the OS's and X360 failure rates which a few companys over here advertised and said we arent fixing them anymore because we get about 2000-3000 X360's delivered every DAY that have RRoD(it was on N4G.com). I dont think many people hold the price to the brand because price always drops on electronics otherwise VAIO computers would have been out years ago but they are quite the stlye icon along with Macbooks over here(VAIO priced at £800-£2000(€1184-€2960)($1611-$4029))(Macbooks priced at £700-£1800(€1036-€2664)($1410-$3626)).
