I think when I die thats it. My consciousness will be gone... my body will slowly revert but my mind will be dead. Forever. Gone. Pwoof. I think there is a very small possibility of an afterlife but it isn't likely.
I know that the above is true, and I also believe that if humans were to fully wrap their heads around that idea they would kill themselves. We are motivated to have a purpose.. and the knowledge that there is no purpose and that your existence is going to end in x year and declining would drive people insane... but that idea is too frightening to accept.
