Mitsuhide based on the sales of the PS3 in Europe I have to ask the question does European consumer brand loyalty factor out to a strong conviction or a general like? I like to think when consumers make choices they factor in many variables. That happens to be my experience. Obviously brand loyalty is not overcoming the price, and I wonder if the price actually hurt brand loyalty. Consumers being upset with the high price and holding it against the brand.
I am trying to understand your point. Correct me if I am wrong are you saying that the consumer will intentionally put off the next gen purchase until they can afford a PS3 even if it is well out of their price range this holiday season? That is definitely a interesting perspective if true. In the United States we always seem to gravitate towards price, and technology long before we get around to brand consideration.
