These veterans in particular are anti-Iraq war vets. They have seen enough bad stuff in Iraq to warrant their feelings of never wanting to have anything to do with it again. They are protesting this game because it is probably an effective tool for recruiting into a war that they disagree with.
In other words, this is more of a protest against the war, or at least thier feelings of the game are based on the war itself.
