Chinatown Wars on the DS will definately sell at least million, its GTA the one of the biggest gaming franchises that sells a lot on every platform (PSP does not move much software, yet GTA sold loads) and its on the DS the most popular console ever released with large userbase that buys loads of games.
GTA is a very casual friendly title and many of those 18+ DS owners will buy GTA, just like they bought San Andreas on the PS2 or GTA IV on their Xbox, and there are the "gamers" that like GTA series and wanted it on Nintendo console, so the game will definately sell well. Can it match sales of the Liberty City Stories? Chinatown Wars might not be able to do it but i think it will sell around 4 million at least, but next installment definately (before DS lifespan ends).
