I love this sort of thread. Where the title assumes that a minority view is held by 100% of people.
It is extremely unlikely that MS would make a portable.
They created the xbox in order to try to silence the playstation as a threat to Windows. They have no similar reason to create a portable.
The portable market just isn't big enough for a new entrant 6th generation was a one man race, in the 7th gen both Sony and Apple joined in - one taking a more 'hardcore' stance than Nintendo, one taking a more 'casual' stance. There is nowhere for MS to slip in.
Portables:Home console ratio is highest in Japan, then Europe, then America. the Xbox does best in America, then Others, then Japan. Notice how they are exactly the wrong way round?
