I can't comment on the rest of the company, but I will say that the PS3 lost so much because they forgot if you're selling something at a loss, the point is to focus on what makes up for it. In short, they forgot selling the blades is more important than selling the razors.

Basically the should have been pumping out games for the PS3 from the beginning, not just depending on people to flock to the games and systems as they did before. Nintendo did it with the first years of the Wii and DS (just slowing down after a couple years), and their systems sold at a profit. If Sony followed that gaming model, they could have easily offset the PS3 losses, and even reduced the loss this year.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
