He has a point, every PS3 AAA game is getting given away from the moment it is released. GT5P, MGS4, LBP, Resistance 2 have all been bundled from Day 1. Smells of desperation, Sony would never have done that in the past.

 

I don't think its sad at all, it saves me money. Bundles were aplenty for the PS2 as well, when I bought one a year after a release it was impossible to get it outside of bundles so I ended up having to buy a WRC bundle (only the crappiest rally game ever made). The MGS2 bundle relased two weeks later but I hand't heard the announcement since I had no internet...

 

There's a difference between a crappy rally game and every 1st/2nd party AAA game in the past 12 months.

Microsoft are bundling too, but it's only been things like Forza or Kung Fu Panda, not the big games and not on Day 1 of their release. Even the Halo bundle was the same price as the console + the game with a crap coloured console that no one wanted to buy.
