You don't know nintendo, or Iwata. Nintendo will make no attempt to "kill" Sony.
They will only respond to the PSP2 if it enters the expanded market. If not, there won't be another DS for a while. If they do have to respond, I'm not sure how they will do it, it's Nintendo after all, it won't be obvious.
