lol flamebait. A majority of 3rd party games suck at retail??? If you are a third-party developer you have three possibilities

a) you develop for the Wii and you better hit the taste of the Wii community else you will go down in flames
b) you develop for 26m 360
c) you develop for 20m PS3
d) you develop for 46m PS360 and invest 10% more than in a 360 or PS3 exclusive. (and most multiplatform games sell just as well on PS3 and 360 if they are released simultaneously)

Hard choice. Oh and nobody cares about a "slap in the face" if they make a multimillion dollar decision.

Well said lol.

Apart from the odd figure where the PS3 gained 300k sales and the X360 lost 1.7 million, I would agree.... the combined base of PS360 is very appealing for developers, ie if they are not satisfied that their game will do well enough on one of them, porting is not too difficult and will give tham at least 1.5 times the sales if not more.

Exactly, i guess looking at it this way no one really noticed how well the HD consoles work for each other, without they other it would be game over.

Oddly enough though we still do get the odd-ball 3rd party exclusive such as Star Ocean 4 and Versus XIII. sure there only 2 games i an mention but i guess "Few" 3rd party exclusivety is better then nothing am i right?
