In the unlikely event that the PS3 is discontinued early, it would be very interesting to see how the 360 alone could compete with the Wii. That said, the Wii is still gaining market share which can only mean it will get more attention from developers, but it's still unclear how much (and how many developers will go bankrupt in the meantime).

Microsoft still has the PC platform and they always have the option of slapping money on the table for a PS3 -> Xbox 360 trade in deal.
