I dunno... I wouldn't be feeling depressed, especially since on average atheists make 10% more money than religious types. I find it far more depressing for someone to be blindly believing in something because others told them about it than not....

And they donate a lot less to charity and spend less time volenteering.  So your average atheist is really rolling in dough and freetime.
