If you can see far higher revenues on another platform based on the same cost, or similar revenues on another platform on a far smaller cost, your profit will be far higher and your shareholders will be happier ... This doesn't mean that all games or game developers would leave the PS3, but publicly traded companies are (essentially) forced to seek the highest profit which means that the vast majority of their support will not be focused on the PS3
