That error's been going for ages now. It happened to my friend's 360 ELITE he bought on August 2007, after 14 months of use he got that same error screen.
And you know what's the "charming" part of E 74? it's worse than RROD (no method in earh, heaven or hell will "resurrect" the console), and Microsoft Warranty DOES NOT cover it. Nice one M$!!
