Try James Buchanon.

He pretty much dropped the ball and let the chain of events that started the Civil War.

One fun poll...

My line of reasoning goes like this...

You sucked as a president if people rank you below William Henry Harrison.

I doubt Clinton will be there... Bush... probably will be there for about 10 years... then float up to the bottom middle of the pack... people will probably be more forgiving of him in the future.

The war in Iraq won't look so bad when people are a bit backed off from it... assuming that Iraq stays stable and a better place then when Saddam ruled it.

Its all about perception. How many journalists are in Iraq today? How many will be there in 10 years

If things go well in iraq it's not like nobody will know.

If you look at most unpopular presidents they tend to drop really low... then float up to the middle.

Except Jimmy Carter apparently.

He is history's greatest monster.

In 94 though Bush was rated the 31st worst president in history (Bush Senior)... out of 41!

Now he's up to 21.

Jimmy Carter strated out at 25... took a plunge... came back up... then took another plunge.

Another interesting one is Reagan... who went from average president to like... super high... as he went from mid 20's to number 6.
