While I agree that a ton of Christian-professing people know next to nothing about their own Christianity, you're probably aware of the NT passages that do explicitly state homosexuality as wrong. Also, while Jesus never mentioned homosexuality, he never said anything about child molestation, either.

 

Luckily soon Gay rights will have more backers than religious conservatives that fight against it.

 

Maybe, just maybe, NAMBLA will get enough, too, one day.

For those who get the reference, I'm saying it's somewhat hypocritical.
