Ehm.. that's is basic advertising.. Black onyx is only effective for gamers (small group) All the other people have no idea what's about... Entertainment is for a wider audicience who only see hip & happy people! And also want to be hip and happy! so you buy the product..  so Marketing wise Entertainment is way better...

Uh, no. Nobody will buy a PS3 because they see happy people. Nobody bought a Wii because there were old people in the commercials. It's stupid logic.

Do you know those infomercials?? Like Mr T selling a flavorwave?? It doesn't work for YOU and it's stupid to YOU.. but they aren't aimed at YOU.. Sony targeted a small group who didn't have the money to buy a 599 console.. Nintendo did the right thing:
Target a larger group, who doesn't know anything about gaming but can reconise when someone is having fun.. aka a happy face..
they don't relate to a scary baby.. they relate to a happy face.. people buy stuff when they are presented to you with a smile...

Yea, I'm aware of what has happened in the past two years. PS3 is a console aimed at gamers, and they were critisized for advertising games. They want Sony to try and attract the same people that own a Wii, but my point was people never bought the Wii because they saw their own demographic in commericials, they bought the Wii because it looked fun to them.
