I guess all those companies who have ever done Buy one Get One Free are guilty of whatever you say.

Like I said, its mostly because of their prior practices.  They wouldn't allow resellers to install other OS's and still sell windows PCs.  They wouldn't allow resellers to install Netscape or FF on any PCs they sold or they weren't allowed to sell windows PCs.  I asked a guy if he could install Red Hat on a PC that I bought and he told me he couldn't due to M$.

And no, you can't give away a product for the sole purpose of eliminating competitors if you are leverage a monopoly product.
